Tempered Glass is a type of glass which is made stronger by chemical methods which also render it safer than the normal glass. First of all, check whether the solution used is not harmful for the glass by using the mixture on a corner of the glass. We must never use harsh materials in the scrubbing of the glass. This puts unwanted scratches on it. Always use dish soap and water for the solution. Mix identical quantities of the substances and spray them on the glass. Give the mixture for a while to settle down on the glass and mix with the dust. This makes it easy for the scrubbing and effectively takes off the stains. Use a very smooth pad for scrubbing the glass, because even a nylon pad with abrasion can cause scratches. Spray on stubborn regions twice or thrice to make the stain go away. Never use Teflon or other metallic pads to wipe the surface of the Tempered Glass.

Testing:

Tempered Glass is difficult to differentiate from regular glass because it looks just similar to the normal one. Tempered Glass is made in such a way so as to make it five times stronger than normal glass. Doors, windshields and similar places where human contact is high are fixed with tempered glass. In addition to its features, this glass is designed to break up into oval pieces that are much less harmful than the normal sheet glass which breaks up into little edgy pieces. To check the glass, we should follow these steps.

We could test the hardened patterns of the Tempered Glass by testing it beneath the sunlight, while wearing sunglasses. The hardened pattern is not uniform throughout the glass. The easiest test is to feel the glass gently. In case we experience the glass to be slightly rough, then we can say to some degree that it's tempered. Tempered glass appears to be a slightly bent if observed meticulously. This happens because of the hardening of the glass with heat. There should not be chipping or crack in the glass. If so, the glass would break if it is a Tempered Glass.

Some Tempered Glasses come with an etching in the corner to signify that it is tempered. This can be a satisfactory sign for the glass.
