Few Ideas To Clean The Laminate Floors
By Erina Array
Several individuals have concluded to eradicate carpet from parts of their home in favor of laminate flooring. This material has grown in popularity in the last ten years because of health concerns from carpeting or just the lower maintenance levels that are required with it. Either way, it is a great choice for your home. Hence if you are considering purchasing some then you will want to know what is required in cleaning laminate floors as well.
One of the best way would be to use your vacuum cleaner. There are specific attachments that will work well thus you must test them out for your particular model. The ones with the brush on the end tend to be preferred.
Several people still use plain mixture of water and vinegar if and when mopping is needed. The mixture must be just about ¼ cup of vinegar for every 36 ounces of water in a spray bottle is perfect. Distilled white vinegar is ideal. Only sprinkle on an area of your laminate flooring and go over it with a clean mop. The solution will dry immediately without leaving stain.
Store bought sweepers are also best for this chore because they pick up dirt and can shine the surface at the same time. If you use any of the above be certain that there is no left over polish or cleaning solution left behind which could soak into the planks.
One of the key things to remember is that you should not use plenty of water or other solution in the cleaning procedure. In doing so it can drip down before you realize. Getting the excess liquid up will be quite difficult and if you leave any there then it will lead into severe damage in swelling and buckling of the floor.
Make sure that you also do not try to polish this floor in the expectation of removing stains. This material is not specifically made for that kind of remedy and it will not work well at all. Along the same lines it is not suggested to try to polish this covering for the similar reasons.
Cleaning laminate floors doesn't have to be difficult. Simply remember a few pointers: leave no residue, no rubbing, and don't use excess liquid.
